Week 3 Voting has BEGUN!

For Week 4, the Top 10 paired up and interviewed each other. I have to say that as a whole, this week's assignments are my favorite. The contestants, although hesitant at first, came out of the experience feeling awesome, and they bonded with another contestant. There's been a lot of 'blogging BFF' thrown around this week. We've also got people looking for partners for this week's Play-at-Home, so if you want to participate, check it out!

This week's guest judge comes to us from Conversate is not a word and other abuses of the English language. If you are a blogger, checking out her page is a MUST!

Since I'm not nearly as awesome as they are, I'll let you get to reading their assignments. Make sure you vote for your favorite, because this week, the team with the lowest score is OUT (yes, that's right, both of them).

  1. Okay, I'm getting a bit testy here. I have tried 3 different browsers and NONE of them are showing the voting option.

Since it's a little late now to change things, my suggestion is to offer multiple ways to vote. For those of us who appear to be blocked from voting, anyway.

Someone elsewhere here said there's a blue bar with the names. I do NOT see this anywhere. The ONLY blue bar I see is the one at the top that has the following links:

    Home
    2012 Sponsors
    The Top 13
    The Judges
    Prizes
    Schedule
    Merch
    Hall of Fame
    Contact

So... Until this issue is fixed, I regret that I can not vote for my favorite. And that makes me sad. :(

    Good luck to all.

  2. Ermmm... Minor edit.

When I said "my suggestion is to offer multiple ways to vote." I meant for future BI contests. :)

  3. Bev, what kind of browser are you using? There should be a vertical blue rectangle in the middle of the above post, below the text, that offers the voting options.

    1. I have tried:
      IE (and I HATE IE)
      FireFox (which I also HATE)
Opera (which I LOVE because it works best on my antique dinosaur, an ancient Dell that I rebuilt in 2003).

Everything is up to date and current versions. I spent most of last night poking around to see if I could get it to show up, and still... Nada.

      *cries*

  4. I don't have IE but it's showing fine for me on both Chrome and Firefox. Also shows on all the family's mobile devices.

    1. Unfortunately, this is the only computer I have access to for personal use for stuff like this. Yes, it IS a dinosaur, but with everything up to date and current. So, it SHOULD show up for me. But it's not. :(

  5. Bev, you should be writing me in as a winner every week anyway. My mom told me I was a winner. Are you calling her a liar?

  6. ~chuckles!~ I WISH I had a way to write you (or anyone else) in!! That would certainly make my life easier. But man I wouldn't envy the poor soul that has to count all the write-ins that would be sure to follow! O.o

  7. Wow, voting issues by browser? I've gotten in with IE 9, IE 9 Mobile, Opera, Firefox and Chrome... No issues here...

    1. Ron, I've tried everything I can think of. Nothing is working. And this is the only place I'm missing content.

Everything else on this site shows up fine for me, in every browser. The ONLY thing not showing up for me is the voting box. :(

  8. I don't know what the problem could be, because nobody else seems to have issues with it :/

    1. Heather, I do actually know of one other person having issues, but it's up to them to out themselves.

So, I know I'm not totally alone. Although, that person has this problem intermittently, rather than constant like me.

  9. Bev--do you have Java? Go to www.java.com and download it if you don't. If you do, make sure you have the latest version. See if that helps. (I am not very techy, but it's worth a try)

    1. Yep. Everything is current: Java, Flash, browsers, etc. All caches have been cleared, too. I quadruple checked it all last night. Still nothing. :(
