If you haven't checked out the Prizes page yet, you should. One of the prizes that the Grand Prize winner will be honored with is being immortalized. Your name will be printed on the pages of Tymothy Longoria's upcoming book. Genesis is the first in a series of epic books that will make you  question everything you were told as a child.

Do you have your audition all typed up and ready to go? Are you contemplating what to say?  Here are some do's and don't's for your audition:

Including a link to your blog - DO!

Submitting it in a foreign language - DON'T!

Being funny - DO!

Being confident - DO!

Not using spellcheck - DON'T!

Telling us that you ARE the Blogger Idol - DO!

Including images - DON'T!

Making an impact - DO!

Using proper punctuation - DO!

Including your name - DO!

Making sure your blog looks awesome - DO!

Don't forget- writers are the new rockstars! Act like one!

That's right, there is only 12 days left until auditions open for Blogger Idol 2011!

We are still looking for more judges.  If you have a blog, but don't want to try out for Blogger Idol, you can sign on to be a judge! (No judging experience required, just ability to give constructive criticism!)

Have you checked out the prizes?  There are more to come as well. If you, or your company would like to donate, or sponsor a prize, just contact us!

If you are trying out, or want to support those that are, please grab a badge and put it on your blog!

Also, I have had MANY people say that they don't want to try out because they haven't been blogging for long, or don't feel like they could stand up to the competition. That is no excuse! You can't win if you don't try, and you only live once!  You might be saying "But I'm not a writer!" but that is NOT true! If you have a blog, you are a writer! Here are two pieces of inspiration:

Blogger Idol is looking for:

1. A panel of judges with a wide variety of blogging interests and experience. Judges will not be allowed to participate in the contest.  Judges will be expected to help sort through the initial entries to choose the Top 12 finalists, and review and provide constructive criticism for weekly posts during the contest.

Judges will have a link pointed at their blog every week, along with a page linking to their blog for the length of the contest.

2. Donations for prizes. Prizes must be related to blogging, or things bloggers would be interested in.
