Week 1 Voting Has Begun!

Voting has officially begun!

This week, the Top 13 had the task of writing about a family tradition. The judges went through and commented on their posts and gave them some feedback, which you can see on the assignments. Also, we are happy to have the awesome author of You Know It Happens At Your House Too as a guest judge this week!

This is how voting works: All of the posts are linked below. Read through them, and then come back here and use the poll below to cast your vote!

Voting ends tomorrow, at 11:59 PM CST!

Crazed in the Kitchen: Arizona Memories, or How I Learned my Grandma is a Stone-Cold Killer
My Rad Dad: Is That From the 70's? And Who is 'Price'?
Forever 51: Turkey Divorce Court
Manderstanding: Dancing with Seagulls
The Mother Freakin' Princess (The MFP): This Isn't Your Average TV Dinner
Crazy Dumbsaint of the Mind: Sunday Dinner
The Real Matt Daddy: A Really Awkward Gift
Edward Hotspur: Good and Evil
Random Thoughts 'n Lotsa Coffee: Duct Tape & Tin Foil: A Family Tradition
Martinis and Minivans: Tampons, Trees & Tears
Ice Scream Mama: Hi-ho, Hi-ho... It's Off To Camp We Go.
Pile of Babies: "Are you going to finish that?"
Dad and Buried: A different kind of shooting star

Make sure you choose your favorite wisely! This week is going to be a double elimination, and two of the Top 13 will be eliminated from the competition on Friday!

  1. I voted... I look forward to watching this as it continues... One question for the judges, Which on is Simon, and who is the unpredictable and over medicated Paula, and who is planning on overusing the word "DOG" like Randy? That would make reading the comments even MORE awesome!

    1. LOL! This is a pretty sweet gig. Should I go to rehab for "exhaustion" so I can get ready to judge? Is that how you got in? ;-)

  2. I've also got a question. Is this like voting on American Idol where you can hit the button over and over like you can text in your vote over and over? Or is it one and done for each vote?

  3. The limit on one vote per IP address is more than a little frustrating. I have a coworker who wants to vote, but can't because I already did. What if she beats me to it next week and doesn't vote for who I would have picked?!

    1. The reason it is set up like this, is to prevent people from cheating, and voting over and over. The only other way to monitor that is to block it by cookies, and that isn't reliable because all someone would have to do is reset their cookies. Some people have their browser set to do that every time it closes and reopens. You are welcome to vote from home, or on your mobile phone, which should have a different IP address than your work network.

    1. I don't know if you are referring to the time voting starts, or the time the elimination is announced, but either way, the information is always here so you can get to it later in the day.
